Heirloom Quality, earth-first farming

I haven't used dried peppers for much in the past other than throwing one into a pot of beans along with the other herbs and spices. I'm beginning to understand how to used these peppers for more than that, but I'm still learning. That's a good thing.

These peppers are aromatic and flavorful, especially when lightly toasted before use. I've used them in tandem with other dried peppers to make a base for a pot of beans, but I need to work on how I do that. That's my lack of knowledge, not a lack of the peppers. I'm looking forward to doing a lot more with these, and other, dried peppers.

Growing up in a family of 10, beans were a staple in my home. My mom would have me sort through beans, then she would cook them for our family several times a week. Once she passed away, the cooking stopped.

Decades later, I found this website after searching for organic, dried chili peppers. To my surprise, I saw other amazing products being sold. I decided to sign up for the bean club as I do LOVE beans and missed cooking them. I started quarterly, fell in love with all products, and just upgraded to monthly. I support this company as the products are amazing. I am trying to cook mostly organic foods, which are sold here. I reviewed Foodocracy's recommendation of using Kombu to cook beans. I was skeptical, but I am now an addict! I cannot cook beans without this "secret" ingredient. Kombu beans for life!

My favorite bean, so far! Deliciously plump and full of flavor.

The grains are nutty and chewy and full of flavor. What a difference this grain makes in salads and soups.

This cornmeal is extraordinary in the true sense of the word. After my first round of cooking up a batch, I immediately ordered two more bags. I’ve never had anything like it. The polenta I made was just lovely and it also was a great breakfast food.

I had no idea my oatmeal could be so pleasurable. The texture, the flavor, these oats are just wonderful. Try them. It’s worth it.

Outstanding lemon flavor. One lemon with pasta and oil really added pizzaz!

Pressure cooked the Tiger Eye Beans along with Kombu and the Pasilla Chile Pepper. I broke up the
Pepper with the seeds and simply tossed it into beans. Twenty minutes later and perfect dish and nice heat level.

These delicious beans cook up easily without soaking and are really versatile.

This is the most unusual grain I have eaten. They really are big fat kernels! They are rather chewy and textured. I will order them again as I am very happy to support small Organic growers.

Tasty and healthy. I like to add fruit, milk and honey.
